Marina Sirtis:

Marina was born on the 29th of March, 1959, to Greek parents from the East end of London. Her early years were spent growing up in North London, where she became an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan.

Marina attended the Guild Hall School of Music and Drama and, shortly after graduation, became a fulltime member of the Worthing Repertory Theatre, having many roles including the classical Ophelia in Shakepeare's Hamlet.

Although known primarliy for her role as Deanna Troi in Star Trek : The Next Generation, Marina has been involved in many films and television series, including a role in the situation comedy Up The Elephant and Round the Castle with comedian Jim Davidson.

Marina has also had several stage parts, including The Rocky Horror Show where she proved to have a superb singing voice.

Marina was first intended for the role of Tasha Yar, but Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry switched her and Denise Crosby around.

Her latest project is a radio play, which is currently under production, though her own recording sessions have now been finished.

During the publicity campaign for First Contact, Marina was the star guest on the BBC's National Lottery Draw, where she set the draw in progress, watched by various members of the Next Generation team.

Marina is now based in California, where she lives with her rock guitarist husband, whom she met through close friend Anna Turkel.

Deanna Troi:

Deanna Troi was born in 2236, to born Ian Andrew and Lwaxana Troi. Her father died when she was just 7 years of age, leaving her to be brought up by her larger than life Mother, who is also ambassador to the government of Betazed, daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx and Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.

After studying Psychology at the University of Betazed, where she first met William T. Riker, she joined Starfleet upon graduating in 2359.

Although still in love with Riker, Deanna has remained single, though she has had several lovers, the most notable being Worf, Chief Security Officer on board the Enterprise.

Deanna's empathic powers proved to be invaluable to the crew of the Enterprise. As well as being ship's counselor, she also played an important role in many negotiations with alien races as well as being an excellent diplomat.
